Under the expert guidance of our Neuroscience for Education team of Trustees, Directors and Associates, we bring clarity, research rigour and high standards of excellence to the rapidly emerging and often misunderstood field of educational neuroscience.
We work primarily with educational professionals, collaborating with them to use neuroscientific evidence-based research to improve educational practice. We do this during the critical periods of childhood and adolescence when the brain is most primed for growth and development.
Increasingly, schools opt for our bespoke consultancy services. They want to apply our knowledge about psychology and neuroscience within their own educational contexts in order to enhance student wellbeing and outcomes; to inform decision making or to implement key changes that support the entire school community or particular year groups.
At Neuroscience for Education, our story is one of growth, innovation, and a relentless commitment to enhancing education through the power of neuroscience. Our journey began as BrainCanDo, a pioneering initiative founded by Julia Harrington during her tenure as Headteacher at Queen Anne's School.
BrainCanDo emerged from a passion for understanding the untapped potential of neuroscience in the realm of education. It was born out of a vision to bridge the gap between cutting-edge neuroscience research and its practical application in real-world classrooms. Under the BrainCanDo brand, we embarked on a mission to revolutionise education, empowering educators and students alike.
Throughout the years, BrainCanDo achieved remarkable success and recognition. Through groundbreaking research and partnerships with leading universities, we earned a reputation as innovators in integrating neuroscience insights into educational practices. Our work caught the attention of prestigious publications, and our initiatives were celebrated for their impact on teaching and learning.
As we continued our journey, we realised the immense potential to reach a broader audience of educators and institutions, both nationally and internationally. To further our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, we decided to evolve and rebrand as Neuroscience for Education.
Neuroscience for Education embodies the essence of our vision—empowering educators with the latest neuroscience knowledge and practical strategies. Our new brand enables us to extend our reach and collaborate with educators far beyond our initial community. Together, we aim to create a network of knowledge-sharing and innovation in educational neuroscience.
Though our name may have changed, our mission remains steadfast. Neuroscience for Education continues to explore the frontiers of educational neuroscience, seeking new ways to optimize learning environments and boost student engagement. We are excited to build upon BrainCanDo's legacy, offering an expanded range of programs, courses, and resources for educators at all levels.
Our gratitude goes to all the partners, supporters, and educators who have been part of our transformative journey.
